Azaleas form masses of gorgeous, bright semi-double in late spring and early summer, and small, dark green leaves. This compact, evergreen azalea is perfect for a shrub border with humus-rich, acid soil. They are related to the rhododendron but not so vigorous or large leaved. Azaleas look great planted together with varying colours, or just as stunning on their own or with other shrubs. Providing such a colourful display, Azaleas remain unrivalled by any other spring-flowering shrub. They do not need much sun and can be grown near or even under trees . Available in three stunning colours. Prefers acid/ericaceous soil, however if you do not have acid soil naturally in your garden, Azaleas are perfectly suitable for container planting in ericaeous compost. For best results, replace some of the compost every year. Fully frost hardy and provides year-round evergreen colour as well as amazing flowers during the summer.
